Playgroup Little Sprouts Steiner Playgroup is a group in which children and parents can play and participate in a warm and nurturing environment. Because children learn through play and imitation, Little Sprouts is a wonderful environment where they can watch and experience their parents and other children, allowing them to develop their social skills. They are surrounded by simple toys made from natural materials. Keeping toys simple and 'unfinished' allows the child to be taken over by their imagination. A blue cloth can become the ocean, a playstand may become a shop counter and wooden blocks can build a city or farm. During outside time the children are free to play and create in our peaceful garden. RHYTHM OF THE DAY Rhythm plays a very important role within the Steiner playgroup, as it helps the child feel secure and in harmony with the group. Our day begins with free play, where the child can play in the 'kitchen', dolly corner or with the trains. Here they are free to interact with one another while the parents help in the preparation of the day, adding to our community atmosphere.
